M&M has come out with another offering in their SUV segment. This time its a small modifcation to their flagship brand/car - Scorpio. The Mahindra Scorpio Getaway comes in two versions and is priced at Rs. 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom mumbai).
The Scorpio Getaway has been previously launched in other markets like South Africa and Australia.
Hyundai Motors is planning to hike the prices on its newly launched vehicles somewhere near July. The brand new Verna, Getz Prime and Santro are the ones that are expected to go under these price changes.
The company have competitively priced their sedan - Hyundai Verna at 6.26 lakh but this could increase come July. We are not sure about the exact price increase but it should not be more than 1-2%. The company goes on to disclose the reason of the price hike being the rise in input costs and other related costs.
The Ford division of Volvo Cars is all set to bomb India with plenty of cars in various segments. The plans are already in place for the launch of Volvo S80 and the XC90 in the coming months. In addition to this the company is going to go even more aggressive by plans to launch their new hatchback C30 and C70 in the coming year.
“We will take Ford’s support in back-office operations like HR (human resources), homologation, IT, logistics, and accounting, but Volvo Cars would remain responsible for products, pricing, and marketing,†said the managing director of Volvo Car India.
The S80 and the XC90 could be launched with a 2.5 litre diesel engine along with 3.2 and 4.4 litre petrol variant. They have managed to rope in 3 big dealers in cities like Mumbai, Delhi and a couple other metros.
