Tata Motors launched new variants of their Tata Spacio car on wednesday. The car has been priced at 5.1 lakhs for the lower version and 5.4 lakhs for the higher one. These prices are indicative and Delhi ex-showroom price.
The TATA Spaicio Gold Plus is powered by a diesel engine and comes with a powerful torque. The Spacio Gold also comes with a power steering, bucket seats and refined interiors.
The Tata Sumo variant is being replaced by the TATA Spacio slowly and steadily. The fuel efficiency of the car is about 15 kilometers per litre.

Well i came across this photo on a forum stating that it is the new 1 Lakh rupee car that Tata will launch in India in late 2008. We are not totally satisfied with the photo and that its actually that ‘dream car’ Ratan Tata keeps talking about, but you can see it for yourself and decide.
The Tata group had displayed a very similar car at a ‘Concept car’ show in Switzerland and named it the - TATA Indiva. So leaving things as they are, draw your own conclusions and opinions.

Tata Motors has now launched the 2007 models for their small car, the `Tata Indica V2. The Tata Indica comes in different models like, the Tata Indica V2 Xeta - Tata India V2 Turbo.
The new Tata Indica V2 Xeta 2007 will be priced at Rs. 2.55 lacs for the lowest model and going up to Rs. 3.49 for the top model. THe Diesel variant will cost anywhere between Rs. 3.22 and Rs. 4.13 lacs. The prices noted are for ex-showroom Delhi.
The new 2007 models will be available with four new colors - Arizona Ochre, Amazon Blue, Cavern Grey and Pastel Green. The older popular colors are also available. The Indica has come with a few changes like a new sportier bumper, dual tone rear view mirrors, better looking fog lamps and slightly different tail lights.

Fiat in partnership with TATA has launched the new Palio 1100 version. This car will be more fuel efficient and less powerful than the earlier versions of the Palio. The new Palio 1100 comes with a 1108cc engine with 54 bhp power. This is 25 percent less than the previous version which carried over 72bhp.
The estimated torque in the Palio 1100 is 9kgm and the Kerb weight of this car is close to 900 kgs. The trunk is pretty spacious at 280 litres. The cost of this car will be close to 4 lac ex-showroom Delhi. The motor of this car is from FIAT and the popular FIRE (Fully Integrated Robotised Engine) version which is on the Palio nV too.
The car is expected to be launched in January next year. We shall see if the partnership with the TATAs do any good for the Italian company.
